An Apple a Day is NOT Enough?

While it is very true that an apple a day will give nutrients and will give you extra energy for the day, it is also 100% true that it won’t give you everything you need. And most probably, an apple a day won’t keep you away from your doctor. Yes, it won’t make the doctor away.

 

A study was conducted and was proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) that we should at least eat 5 different kinds of fruits and veggies. It is advisable that the adults must take 3 different types of vegetables and 2 different types of fruits in a day. For the young,  3different kinds of fruits and 2 different kinds of vegetables are needed. You can clearly see that the two parties needed these fruits and veggies in two different types of diet plan. This is due to the fact that youngsters demand for energy is high compared to adults and since fruits provide more energy than vegetables, they needed more fruits.

 

On this blog, we have enumerated ten (10) food goodies that you can take in order to achieve a good diet plan and achieve good health. Keep in mind that for adults, you need to take 3 veggies and 2 fruits and for the young ones, it’s the other way around ( 3 fruits and 2 veggies).

  • 150mL glass of fruit or vegetable juice
  • 10-15 cherries or grapes
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1/2 pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetables – frozen, canned or fresh
  • 1 tablespoon dried fruit
  • 2 plums
  • 1 medium apple, pear, peach, banana,orange
  • 1 slice melon, pineapple
  • 2-3 tablespoons of fruit salad

Take Note! You don’t need to eat all of these in a day. Choose only five different kinds of fruits and vegetables depending on your needs. Be creative and enjoy life while enjoying these wonder treats.
